El Espejo Negro is the only Andalusian puppet theatre company with three Max Awards, which with an absolutely own stamp and with a corrosive and mocking language has taken its productions to the whole world. In an anachronistic and fantastic universe, a young Qom girl called Huashi is sent by her grandmother to the palace of Roqshelashé (which means “the white lady” in the native´s tonge). She brings a message on behalf of her community who are tired of the oppression generated by industry. The Qom demand the cessation of clearing the land where their traditional food and medicine is grown. Benedicta, a Qom maid, has lived in the palace since she was young and remembers little of her past or her language. Huashi's arrival shakes the world that Benedicta has built inside the palace and opens questions about her true identity.
